Cliff Osborne (MBA, BBS Hons) is an experienced specialist strategic planner honed over 30 years as a management consultant in telecoms, fast moving consumer goods, packaging, engineering, industrial heating and computers for global clients with Frank Lynn and Associates in London and the USA. He was an Assistant Director with Trade Indemnity in England for 8 years, responsible for the planning and implementation of strategic change for a $300 million insurance company, comprising seven business units. Latterly since 2000 he has worked with several companies in New Zealand to revitalize their strategic planning approaches, including the NZ Avocado Industry Council. He is a Director of Catalyst Business Accelerator, which provides sweat equity to high potential NZ companies seeking to expand domestically/internationally.
Mike Gilbert (MSc Hons) has over 20 years commercial experience across many industries in New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea and Asia. In his career with ICI and Orica in the chemical industry he specialized in the fields of water treatment, pulp and paper, plastics, crop protection, food & beverage and dairy product manufacturing. He has worked in commercial roles from customer service, sales, sales management, market management, business management and strategic planning. Mike has been at the forefront in developing new markets in the Australasian and Asian regions. He has directly managed high level Strategic Alliance relationships with both Carter Holt Harvey and Norske Skog. As Managing Director of KIWIN Company Limited based in Thailand he specializes in product sourcing and supply chain logistics for both within and outside South East Asia. Given the major opportunities, he now spends 50% of his time in the Asian region working with companies to develop their international business.
